Lion vs buffalo vs croc

Here's a very interesting video of the Kruger National Park in South Africa with Lions attacking a baby buffalo and a crocodile, lions have a tug of war with the buffalo and the crocodile, then buffalo herd attack the lions. You can see the rest here.

Khoisan cave paintings

Today I want to put up some pictures my Dad took last weekend in the Cederberg which is in the Western Cape in South Africa. They are photos of cave paintings made by Khoisan people who were the first people who lived in the Western Cape before the white people came in 1652. The Khoisan are sometimes called Bushmen and their paints were made of ochre, animal blood, plants and some other things. These paintings are on a private reserve which not everybody can go to.

The first photo is of hunters and the painting could be between 3000 and 300 years old. The guide said that they can't do tests to find out.

The second painting is in the same cave and shows an antelope which the Khoisan were hunting.

This painting is from another cave and is of two elephants and many Khoisan, but they didn't hunt elephants. There were no elephants in the Cederberg but there were elephants in other places the Khoisan were before and so they painted what they saw there on the wall.

This painting is from the same cave and is of Afrikaners which means it is not that old.

Mr grandfather in World War II

Here are some pictures of my grandfather in World War 2. He was German and had to fight for his country, but he wasn't a Nazi because his father was dismissed from the police by the Nazis when he was a captain in 1933 because he was against the Nazis.

This is picture is from 1939 of my grandfather on the right and his cousin Johann who joined the SS and died in the war. My grandfather was 16 when this photo was taken.

This is a picture of my grandfather just after he was called up to the German army in 1942.

Here my grandfather is in training in 1942.

In 1943 he was awarded the Iron Cross for fighting in Leningrad. He was promoted to Lieutnant



This picture was taken during the Battle of Stalingrad. My grandfather was on one of the last German planes out of Stalingrad because he was wounded before the Russians won the battle.

Harry Potter doesn't die

Harry Potter 7 - My theory

This my theory for the ending of the last Harry Potter.

Harry finds all the Horcruxes and destroys them except the Slytherin Locket which Voldemort has. Now Harry and Voldemort are dueling and Voldemort is shooting curse at Harry but Harry blocks them. Voldemort then hits Harry with the Sectumsempra Curse and Buckbeak comes and knocks Voldemort to the ground and starts biting him. Voldemort then kills him. Hagrid comes in furious and loses control and punches Voldemort. Voldemort drops the Horcrux. Hermione heals Harry from the curse and Harry shoots the Horcrux with the Reducto Spell and Vordemort shoots the Avada Kedavra Curse and hits Harry’s scar and backfires. Voldemort then gets killed. Snape then shoots the Avada Kedavra Curse at Harry but bounces of the walls and hits Snape. Malfoy and the other Death Eaters defeated flee.

That's my theory.

Hary Potter

My favourite books of all is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince

I think this book is extremely great, because of all the loss of freinds, teachers (SPOILER WARNING) loss of Dumbledore and Harry setting out to destroy Voldemort.

Also I can’t wait for the new book to come out. I hope it’s going to be great.

LOTR 3

My all time favourite is Lord of the Rings Return of the King

The plot is: Aragorn, Legolas, Gimli, Merry, Pippin, Theodon, Eomer, Eoyn and Gandalf. Must march to Minas Tirith to face the great battle of Minas Tirith. Frodo, Sam and Gollum (Smeagol) still set out to destroy the Ring, but Gollum has been corrupted by the Ring and try to kill them. So there is war, suspense, betrayal and EVIL.

So if I like this movie you definitely will.

Seinfeld

If you’re cool enough to watch Friends you have to watch Seinfeld. It’s very similar to Friends.

The characters are Elaine Benes, Jerry Seinfeld, George Costanza and Cosmo Kramer and Newman.

Friends

If any of you who like watching TV Friends is the TV show that you should watch. Ten seasons of comedy. All with relationships, marriage, stupidity and breaking up and laughter.

The main characters are: Phoebe, Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Joey and Ross.

One of my favourite TV shows is Blackadder. Each series is in different years. In series one the year is 1450, series two is 1555, series three is 1760 and series four is 1917. But my favourite series is, Series four.

Before I tell you why, I first want to tell you the main characters: Capt. Blackadder, Lt. George, Pvt. Baldrick, Capt. Darling and Gen. Melchett. The fourth series is about those five characters fighting against the Germans in World War I. It may sound boring but it has a lot of comedy.

This I want all of who are reading this to watch it.

Lord of the Rings Battle for Middle Earth is a realistic war game.Where you can play between 4 different armies.Rohan,Gondor,Mordor and Isengard.You can play skirmish and campaign in the game.Choose between Evil campaign and Good campaign.I suggest you to read the rules (it is very complicated).This game was made by Electronic Arts which also made other great games.

History time

I just want to tell you about my Grandfather. He was in the German army in World War II. He fought in the famous battles of Stalingrad and Leningrad (Russia), Denmark, and he also fought in France. He was a Lieutenant and was awarded the Iron Cross for bravery in battle. He was on one of the last few planes out of Stalingrad, otherwise he would have died or be prisoner of war of the Russians, like his brother who died in captivity.

One lowlight is that his cousin was part of the SS (Nazis), but he didn’t like the Nazis because they fired his father from the police force (where he was a captain) in March 1933. My grandfather actually survived the War and was a Prisoner of War. But in 1977 he died of internal bleeding.

My great-grandfather fought in World War 1. He fought in the famous battle of Verdun. In 1932 he wrote his memoirs, and my father translated them into English. They are on the Internet: HERE. Check it out.

To the future

One of the movies I love to watch is Back to the Future.

The plot is:Marty McFly finds out his friend Doctor Emmett Brown invented a time machine
out of a car. So after Doc gets assassinated by Libyan terrorists Marty gets in the car and gets sent back to 1955. But when he gets there he meets his mother and father. But when he meets his mother she falls in love with him, when that happens his future dies away. So he and Doc (from 1955) tries to get his mother and father together. But the car is out of Platonium, but there is no Platonium in 1955. So he can't get back to the future.

Watch the movie and you see what happens.

Spidey 3

For all of you who haven’t seen Spiderman 3, you have to.

The plot is:Peter Parker gets possessed by some kind of black slime. So he becomes evil. But he must also face the Sand Man, Venom and his best friend Harry Osborne. Who wants to get revenge on Spiderman for his fathers death. Peter must also face the fact that there was a different person who killed his uncle.

Pirates 3 rocks

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

One of the movies to see, filled with comedy, action, suspense, romance and betrayal.

The plot of the story is: Lord Cutler Beckett has the heart of Davy Jones, now Beckett and the East India Trading Company has control of the sea. So Will Turner, Captain Barbossa, Elizabeth Swann and Tia Dalma (and the crew) set out to rescue Jack Sparrow from Davy Jones' locker to get the Pearl and Will who has to stab the heart and free his father . But whoever stabs the heart must become Captain of the Flying Dutchman for eternity, so Will has to decided by freeing his father and becoming Captain of the Flying Dutchman or to marry Elizabeth.

I've still got one thing to say: critics who seen the movie and have given it bad reviews don't know what they are talking about. I think that the movie is great.
